Helping People Put AI to Work Without Losing Human Judgment

I'm Keith Scheafer, founder of Epic Edge AI, LLC.

I created Epic Edge AI to help people use artificial intelligence in practical ways that support the work they are already doing.

Why I Built Epic Edge AI

AI fascinated me from the beginning. I adapted to it quickly because I could see past the novelty and recognize what made it useful.

The real value was not asking AI random questions or chasing every new tool. The value was learning how to give it a defined job, useful information, clear instructions, and an expected result.

That led me to Custom GPTs.

A focused Custom GPT can guide someone through a repeatable process, organize the information they provide, and help create a consistent result without requiring them to start over every time.

It does not replace experience, responsibility, or judgment. It gives those things a more organized tool to work with.

Built Around Real Problems

I am most interested in AI when it solves a real problem.

That might mean helping a real estate agent turn verified property details into a coordinated marketing package. It might mean helping a business owner organize a repeated client process. It might mean helping a creator or consultant turn a useful method into a guided tool.

The industry does not need more inflated promises about what AI might do someday. People need practical help using it responsibly today.

People Before Profits, Always.

That principle is not a slogan added to the bottom of a website. It is the standard I want Epic Edge AI to follow.

It means giving people an honest recommendation, even when the answer is that they do not need another tool.

It means clearly explaining limitations.

It means avoiding false urgency, unsupported claims, and promises that no responsible person can guarantee.

It means building something useful before trying to make it look impressive.

What You Can Expect From Me

  • Plain-spoken communication
  • Respect for your experience and ideas
  • A focused project instead of unnecessary complexity
  • Honest discussion about limitations
  • Clear expectations about what AI can and cannot do
  • Human review built into the process
  • Practical recommendations based on the job that needs to be completed

The Goal Is Not More AI. The Goal Is More Useful Work.

If a focused Custom GPT can make a repeated task clearer, easier, or more consistent, it may be worth building.

If it cannot, the right decision may be to keep the current process or choose a simpler solution.

That is what People Before Profits looks like in practice.
